Child Decoded helps parents sort through complex issues in their child's learning or behvaior and develop a individualized plan to move forward. It is a very practical guide with a unique checklist to help parents find the areas that are most relevent to their child's needs.
Reviews have been great!!!
"To my knowledge, a book of this type does not yet exist and is truly useful. The idea of summarizing types of practitioners and treatment approaches is unique. Parents tend to go where their pediatrician directs them and it's not until they have been in the system for several years and know what the options are that they can then say, 'oh, if we had only known about that option from the beginning.'"
~ Lucy Jane Miller, PhD, Author of Sensational Kids and Co-author, The Out-of-Sync Child
"Child Decoded provides parents with a very clear resource that helps them unravel and identify their children's distinct struggles."
-- Elizabeth A. Wolfson. Chief Visionary Officer, Girls Athletic Leadership Schools Inc.
"I will keep it close at hand in my office. It is a wonderful, comprehensive tool for the parents of any child that is struggling."
-- Scott Shannon, MD, Integrative Pediatric Psychiatrist, Author of Parenting The Whole Child
"A down-to-earth, practical guide to help both parents and teachers understand why a child is having difficulty with learning or behavioral problems."
-- Temple Grandin, author of Thinking in Pictures: The Autistic Brain
"Child Decoded is an essential tool for anyone seeking to build a well-informed and open-minded support system for a child who needs one."

My first children's book is also available for purchase. I should say OUR first book as my daughter is the illustrator. The book is entitled Buddy:A Story for Dyslexia. It is a great book for any child dealing with a reading disability, but also appropriate for a child dealing with other learning challenges. We were graced with a wonderful endorsement from Sally Shaywitz.
“I loved reading Buddy’s story and anyone who cares about a dyslexic child will too. Buddy, a sweet little bird who struggles to sing while also having the ability to fly swiftly and fearlessly, will be welcomed by every dyslexic boy and girl. Buddy captures the heart and soul of living with dyslexia, both its frustrations and eventual triumphs. Buddy’s story will be embraced by parents and children who will see themselves and their child in this sweet little bird whose experiences trying to sing are ones they know all too well. They will take heart, too, from Buddy’s learning to sing and singing triumphantly before his class and parents. The story’s creators, writer Robin McEvoy Ph.D. and her teenage daughter, illustrator, Tessa McEvoy, work a special magic in their creation of Buddy, who will quickly become every dyslexic child’s best buddy. My advice, walk, run, no fly to obtain a copy of Buddy, your dyslexic child will thank you.Sally Shaywitz, M.D. Audrey G. Ratner Professor in Dyslexia Co-Director, Yale Center for Dyslexia & Creativity Author Overcoming Dyslexia (Knopf, 2003)”
Proceeds from the book are being used to fund reading remediation in low-income children.
